Tatum's wedding fit her exactly: Bright, bold, and beautiful! Tatum chose bright colors that were sure to draw attention! The red roses combined with the sunflowers was a great combination! I'm so glad that Devin and I were able to make it to the wedding and share in Matt and Tatum's special day! They were sealed in the Logan, Utah temple and then had their reception in Cokeville, Wyoming.

Cute Ideas 06/03/2010

I have a confession. I stalk weddings. I love looking at photographer's websites to get wedding inspirations. While I was checking out the photographer that did my wedding, Sarah of Lindsay Jane Studios, I found the coolest idea for decorating cars! Normally, I don't like the silly tradition... but I liked this one! Check it out for yourself!!

I'm away from designing for the summer and I'm in need for some flower action! So, I decided to do a flower of the week. This week's flower is dicranopteris! (also known has fiddle heads, fern curls, monkey tails...)
Paragraph.
This little flower accessory has become very popular lately. Note only does it add a fun touch, but it's a brown color and brown is in!

Upcoming! 05/24/2010

I am so excited for an upcoming wedding next month. My sister-in-law, Tatum, is marrying her best friend, Matt Clark on June 18th! It's going to be a fun wedding. The colors are red and yellow with sunflowers and roses. Take a look at my inspiration:

I first designed this arrangement in my High School floral design class. I loved the arrangment, but never had a good picture. Sister Bass gave us the assignment to do an arrangement over again, so I did this one!  It's not too different, but I like it!

NEW bouquets! 03/21/2010

Check out the details of four new bouquets!

I had the opportunity to design two different podium pieces this week. The first one I designed with a classmate, Dana Bohman for Devotional. It was such a fun arrangement! There were lots of left over flowers from the show and we chose a cool color combination! I loved the contrast between the deep red leaves to the bright flowers.
The second piece was for BYU-I Grad Night. It was a very unique arrangement with unique flowers. The big huge thing is called a King Protea (I have nightmares that it is going to eat me!)

Wedding! 03/06/2010

This wedding was both fun and challenging! The bouquet was difficult for me to design (and like) but it ended up beautiful! There was a problem getting the lisanthus in, so they sent me vanda orchids instead! (we did end up getting lisianthus too). The flowers used were yellow gerbera daisies, purple tulips, purples lisianthus, purple freesia, purple sweet pea (my favorite part), the purple vandas and green viburnum. Centerpiece 03/02/2010

This week in my portfolio class, we were challenged to create a centerpiece that wasn't your usual roundy moundy. I came up with these two designs, both of them taller. The second arrangment can be done on tal
